Michelle Mphowabadimo Mavundla and Themba Mabaso, commonly known as Themba Broly, are newlyweds who have landed a new gig. The couple will appear on The Black Door, a popular drama series on e.tv.
On Friday, 20 December, the couple will exchange vows on The Black Door. According to a statement made by e.tv, Mpho and Themba are said to have secretly wed sometime in December of last year. The Black Door deemed it appropriate to include this in the show’s plot.
“The Black Door has just returned from a production break in response to viewer requests to allow families staying up late over the holiday season. Since the show’s return on January 9th, the plot has continued with recent holiday events, such as a Christmas and New Year’s Eve party.
“Here is a summary of the wedding’s progression: On New Year’s Eve, Romeo has invited Mpho (as Pearl) and Themba (as Zola) to The Black Door. The couple then decides to get married at the club. “However, there will be drama between the couple, and Slay Queen will be involved,” the announcement reads in part.
The famous reality television couple is said to have wed in December 2022. Online images and videos of what appeared to be their conventional wedding prompted speculations of their engagement.

It is rumored that the couple is expecting their first child together. In December, Mpho fueled pregnancy rumors when she was spotted at a concert with a swelling baby belly. The pair has not acknowledged nor rejected the rumors, but Zimoja Lezinto claims that Mpho is pregnant. According to a source close to the couple, the newlyweds will soon become parents.
“Mpho and Themba had no intention of getting married so soon into their relationship, but when they learned they were expecting a child, they decided to get married,” stated the insider.
