Duncan Bannatyne lowers his fitness clubs’ pool temperatures “one degree.”

In an effort to withstand the cost-of-living problem, Duncan Bannatyne has slashed the temperature of the swimming pools at his fitness clubs by “one degree.”

The 73-year-old Dragon’s Den star claimed online that he and his company Bannatyne Group have instructed employees to reduce pool temperatures due to skyrocketing energy bills, adding that some of his operating expenses have at least quadrupled.

Twitter users stated that some of the 69 pools now operated by the organisation were ‘frozen,’ with one claiming, ‘Plenty of people have complained but nothing has changed.’

Mr. Bannatyne replied, “My swimming pool temperature is set to 28 degrees Celsius, which is surely not too cold for use.

They were lowered by 1 degree in an effort to combat the energy crisis. Other clubs have shuttered swimming pools or spas. In the coming months, many clubs and recreational facilities will close.

The cost of energy to heat swimming pools has quadrupled, he continued. Sometimes more.’

The entrepreneur replied, “Thank you” when a person advised him to disregard the “miscreants.” Numerous members have supported our temperatures.

MailOnline has reached out to Bannatyne and Bannatyne Group representatives for comment.

It follows the Bannatyne Group’s fall into the red, which was precipitated by the protracted closure of its venues due to the epidemic.

In an effort to save money despite the worsening energy crisis, the Bannatyne’s gym business announced earlier this month that it will discontinue opulent amenities such as saunas.

Bannatyne Health Club and Spa, which has hundreds of locations in the United Kingdom and is owned by a Scottish tycoon, has indicated that it will reduce its amenities.

Members of the fitness operator were informed via email that certain workout machines, saunas, and steam rooms will be turned off during “off-peak hours.”
