Dakota Johnson: If Armie Hammer had “tried to eat” me, I would have been another woman

PARK CITY, Utah — Dakota Johnson quipped that Armie Hammer could have “eaten” her if she had starred in “Call Me by Your Name.”

While praising the film’s director, Luca Guadagnino, on Thursday at Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance presented by IMDbPro, the “Lost Daughter” actress joked that she was almost cast as the film’s famous peach.

“Unfortunately, I was not in CMBYN. Luca had asked me to play the peach, but our schedules were incompatible.

“Thank God, however, because I would have been another victim of Armie Hammer’s attempted cannibalism.”

The joke first elicited a few chuckles and giggles, but after an awkward moment, Johnson earned thunderous applause and cheers.

Who knew that cannibalism was so prevalent? Johnson, 33, said that “Bones and All” was Guadagnino’s most recent film.

Guadagnino received the Sundance Institute International Icon Award at the age of 51.

In “Wounds,” the two acted alongside each other.

Since he was accused of rape by Effie and sexual misconduct by ex-girlfriends Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze, the disgraced “Social Network” actor has stayed in relative solitude.

In January 2021, Vucekovich, the founder of the glamour app Flashd, claimed Page Six that Hammer, 36, expressed his intention to “grill and eat” her during their relationship.

“He told me that he wants to barbecue and eat my ribs,” Vucekovich recalled.

“‘F–k, that was weird,’ but you don’t think about it again,” she remarked, referring to her inability to recall the strange conduct at the time. “He declares, ‘I intend to devour you,’” If I had a small wound on my hand, he would likely lick or suckle it. That’s as strange as it got.”

Lorenze, 24, said to Page Six that Hammer carved the letter “A” near her vagina with a knife.

At the moment, she informed us, “I sort of sat back and let it happen.” “I had no idea what to do or say… As unfortunate as that is, I wanted him to appreciate me and believe I was open to his desires.

Hammer’s attorney has strenuously denied any misconduct on his behalf.

“From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all of his interactions with [Effie] and all of his other sexual partners have been completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon beforehand, and mutually participative,” the statement stated.

“[Effie’s] attention-seeking and ill-advised legal bid will only make it harder for actual victims of sexual violence to receive the justice they deserve.”

The LAPD’s investigation into the “Death on the Nile” actor continues.
