Customers at Woolworths are horrified to find bugs in broccolini

The broccolini that a customer had purchased from Woolworths was coated in hundreds of bugs, which she was unable to even wash off.

Jessica shared a video of the contaminated veggies on TikToker with the comment “HELP PLEASEE IS THIS NORMAL.”

Is this usual, guys? In the video, which has received close to 700,000 views, Jessica asks.

In the over 700,000-view video, Jessica states, “I got a broccolini lot from Woolworths and I noticed a bunch of these little little bugs.”

They were alive and had legs. They are still there even after I rinsed them with water.

I simply wasn’t able to consume it. It was thrown out. Observe how many!

The term “aphids” was used by commenters to describe the insects.

One user commented, “Normal to grab a couple but the final photo contains a chunk that’s infected.” I would have returned it.

Another advises: “If you get the opportunity, it’s always a good idea to notify Woolies.” Crop infestations with aphids are a major problem.

Surprisingly, others said that the insects’ presence was an indication that the veggies were organically produced, fresh, and of high quality.

One states, “If you discover bugs, it signifies there are no poisons on your vegetables.”

Many others laughed and said that the bugs were an added benefit.

Extra protein, someone remarked.

It’s bulking season, Jessica said with good humor.
