Couples whose weddings were postponed or reduced by Covid finally tie all the knots in a mass

A mass wedding was staged in New York City over the weekend for hundreds of couples who weren’t able to get the wedding they wanted during Covid-19.

After 500 couples staged a symbolic wedding on July 10 in New York City’s Lincoln Center for those who were unable to wed or who were unable to invite all of their loved ones due to the lockdown, a new Summer of Love is now in full swing.

Following the wedding pre-party, which started at 5:30 p.m., guests lined up for the opening procession at 6:15 p.m.

Before the dance started, the ceremony lasted an hour and had hundreds of couples getting married all at once.

According to The Wedding Report, there will be 2.47 million marriages in 2022, which would be a record high for over 40 years.

According to a poll by the same business, almost 20% of weddings from last year were postponed in the US.

Additionally, 2.24 million marriages are anticipated in 2023, which suggests that Sunday’s joyful sights won’t disappear very soon.

When the state reached its objective of immunising 70% of New Yorkers aged 18 or older, then-Governor Andrew Cuomo said in June 2021 that the majority of the remaining Covid-19 limitations will terminate as soon as possible, allowing marriages to resume.
