Couple receives sex warning during valentine

A couple’s Valentine’s Day hotel stay turned into a costly and embarrassing ordeal after their loud sex noises disturbed other guests and resulted in the police being called.

Jamie Boultbee and Kaylie Hursthouse had booked into the Moorlands Izaak Walton Hotel in Ilam on February 14, but their “overly-exuberant intimacy” in the early hours of the morning caused the hotel staff to call the police.

Boultbee and Hursthouse appeared at a magistrates court where they pleaded guilty to criminal damage and were ordered to pay a £1,000 bill, including £500 compensation to other guests who were forced to move to new rooms.

The court heard that the couple had been warned multiple times by staff about their noisy behavior, but they put it down to their “rough sex”.

When the police arrived, they found Hursthouse heavily intoxicated and slurring her words, while Boultbee was lying in bed.

The prosecutor said that the hotel had suffered around £1,000 of damage, with £250 going towards compensation for the guests who had been disturbed.

Boultbee’s lawyer stated that his client was an alcoholic with a history of convictions, while Hursthouse’s lawyer said that she accepted the fee that had been imposed on them.

The couple’s disruptive behavior caused them to cut their stay short, which they had spent nearly £200 on.

Magistrates handed Boultbee a 12-month conditional discharge, while Hursthouse was given a six-month conditional discharge. They were both ordered to pay £500 compensation, £135 costs, and a £26 surcharge.
