£10,000 Cash Confiscated from a pedophile Couple who are also involve in Child Sex Abuse

The cash was confiscated from a pedophile who planned to flee with £10,000 after being discovered with incriminating child sex abuse images.

Today, David Morris, 52, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court for a Proceeds of Crime hearing.

He was sentenced to 16 years in prison in December for raping a young girl with his 44-year-old partner Julie Morris.

Julie Morris was the’safeguarding lead’ at St George’s Central Primary School in Tyldesley, Wigan, where she taught RE.

Julie Morris’ role as a deputy headteacher was not mentioned in any of the charges, according to Liverpool Crown Court.

David Morris was made the subject of a confiscation order under the Proceeds of Crime Act today at Liverpool Crown Court in relation to the £10,000 he was caught in possession of while attempting to flee to the Lake District.

Julie Morris, 44, and David Morris, 52, both RE teachers, were caught on camera abusing and rapping a youngster under the age of 13 in various films.

Police confiscated the money during his detention, and it will be shared between Merseyside Police and the Home Office for policing purposes.

He was discovered sharing lewd images to fellow paedophiles online in September of last year.

A judge described the couple’s video of themselves rapping a young girl as “nearly beyond belief.”

Mr Morris’ phone, computer, and other digital devices were confiscated during a raid on his home on Sandfield Road in Eccleston, St Helens.

He was detained on suspicion of possessing and disseminating indecent photos of children, questioned by police, and released on conditional bail.

It was hard for investigators to study all of David Morris’ footage since he had so much.

Julie Morris and David Morris met through a dating app. There are a lot of fish.

The following day, authorities obtained information that Mr Morris and his companion, Julie Morris, had committed sexual offenses against a kid under the age of 13 and were intending to flee.

Officers discovered the couple at an address in Hindley, Manchester, where they had £10,000 in cash and a campervan full of their things.

Julie Morris admitted to 18 counts of sexual misconduct, including two instances of rape, while David Morris acknowledged to 34 counts of sexual misconduct, including seven counts of rape.

Julie Morris was sentenced to 13 years and four months in prison with an additional four years on probation in January, while David Morris was sentenced to 16 years in prison with an additional four years on probation.

They just have to serve two-thirds of this time in prison before being released on probation.

Both were ordered by the judge to sign the Sex Offenders Register and to follow a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for the rest of their lives.

‘Morris believed he and Julie Morris might elude capture and avoid paying for their awful acts,’ Detective Inspector Lisa Milligan said. They were mistaken.

Mrs Morris told police that she made sure the victim was ‘not in any discomfort or under coercion, and that she wanted to commit the acts.’

‘Officers from Merseyside Police acted quickly to apprehend the couple and take the money, and I’m glad to say that it will now be reinvested in police, allowing our officers to continue prosecuting offenders and protecting vulnerable people in Merseyside.’

‘The acts committed by Julie and David Morris have had a catastrophic impact on the victims and their families, who are still suffering from the psychological torture they both inflicted,’ Det Insp Milligan added.

‘I’d want to take this occasion to express my gratitude to the victims who came forward and their families, whose assistance was critical in catching the criminals and saving others from their crimes.’

‘I’d also want to thank the investigating team and all the officers who worked so hard to ensure that David and Julie Morris’ attempts to dodge punishment were short-lived.’

Julie was the safeguarding lead at St George’s Central Church of England Primary School in Wigan, however the crimes she committed were unrelated to her work there.
