Ensure your alarm system is operational, and the backup battery is fully functional to provide power during load shedding periods.

Lighting Essentials:

Keep a torch or headlamp in your car for nighttime arrivals during power outages.

Utilize built-in torch apps on smartphones for emergency lighting.

Emergency Contacts:

Save emergency contact information on your phone and maintain a paper copy with contacts for fire departments, police, medical services, friends, family, and insurance.

Device Charging:

Charge cell phones, laptops, and tablets before scheduled blackouts.

Have an emergency phone charger, like a power bank, readily available for extended outages.

Gas for Cooking and Lighting:

Acquire a small LP gas bottle and lamp for quality lighting and cooking during power cuts.

Keep hot water in a thermal flask for hot drinks and consider preparing meals in advance for scheduled blackouts.
