After a year of silence, Chris Rock finally speaks out about the infamous incident in which Will Smith slapped him at the 2022 Oscars.
According to an exclusive source, Rock plans to address the situation during his live Netflix stand-up special, “Chris Rock: Selective Outrage,” which will stream live from the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore on Saturday.
The source notes that Rock has relied on the help of veteran comedy writers to refine his jokes about the incident and ensure that they are both funny and appropriate.
Although the material won’t dominate Rock’s show, the insider suggests that fans should stick around until the last joke.
Previously, Rock had refrained from mentioning the incident on his “Chris Rock Ego Death World Tour,” but he did sprinkle in some material about it at various gigs.
