The majority of Kaizer Chiefs fans appear to want Erick Mathoho to continue playing, while a portion of the fandom believes it is time for him to move on. Here is the most recent report from trainer Arthur Zwane.
We all believed that 32-year-old Mathoho’s career as a Glamour Boy was over after a single appearance in the previous season.
Amakhosi brought in new center defenders during the June/July transfer window, however “Tower” remained as his renowned teammates left Naturena for the final time.
According to Zwane, Tshiombo defender Thohoyandou will remain with the club beyond the current transfer window.
“Unfortunately, he is one of the players who have been susceptible to injury this season. Last week or two weeks ago, we were preparing him for a game, but he was unable to participate due to a toe injury.
Zwane added, “We thought he would be fully recovered last week; he began jogging; when we thought he was ready, it [injury] bothered him, so we’ve had to rest him until he’s fully recovered.”
