BA stewardess arrested after pilot reports her drunk and drugged

A British Airways flight attendant was detained by authorities when it was feared she was intoxicated and on drugs during flight.

When the flight from Gran Canaria landed at Gatwick Airport on Thursday afternoon, Sussex Police officers boarded.

The captain of the Airbus A320 contacted them while the plane was still in the air, with a source stating that the woman was “in no fit state to work.”

Upon being approached by authorities, the 41-year-old allegedly failed a breathalyzer test, while the plane was left on the remote stand for 45 minutes.

A source informed the Sun that after her detention, colleagues were requested to assist the police out of concern that she was under the influence of drugs.

They stated, “The pilot observed for himself that the crew member was unfit to work and interact with passengers.”

‘It is her responsibility to ensure the safety of the airplane and its passengers, but she was unable to do so.

He radioed ahead to request that police meet the aircraft.

The woman has reportedly been removed from her position as hostess while the authorities examine what occurred.

A police spokesperson told the Sun, “Officers arrested a 41-year-old woman on suspicion of performing an aviation function while over the legal limit for alcohol, in violation of the 2003 Railways and Transport Act.”

She has been released on bail awaiting further investigation.
