In the second of two major announcements made this month, Chiefs confirmed the signing of a pre-contract with SuperSport United to acquire left-sided central defender Thatayaone Ditlhokwe.
According to Soccer Laduma, Amakhosi are reportedly prepared to split ways with defender Austin Dube, who has fallen out of favor with coach Arthur Zwane.
“The club has instructed his camp to locate a team for him. Now that Thatayaone Ditlhokwe has been acquired from SuperSport United, it is clear that Dube will not play, a source informed Soccer Laduma.
According to edition 1308 of the journal, a definitive decision has been taken about Dube, whose contract may be terminated if he cannot find a new club.
RECENTLY, THERE HAVE BEEN OTHER CHIEFS PLAYER RUMORS Young Chiefs midfielder Sabelo Radebe may be loaned out after struggling for regular playing time with Amakhosi.
Sabelo Radebe, 22 years old, is a highly regarded promising prospect, but he has played so little for the senior team that there are concerns that his career is beginning to stall.
The teenager is under contract until June 2026 on a long-term agreement, and although Chiefs would not want to lose ‘Bibo’ permanently, Soccer Laduma reports that he could be loaned out.
It is said that Radebe is much sought after, but that Stellenbosch, which has formed a solid working connection with Chiefs, could wind up being his destination.
“There was an opportunity for Bibo to go out on loan last season already,” the Soccer Laduma insider stated. “He desired to remain and compete for his position under (Arthur) Zwane. Now there could possibly be a Stellies alternative on the table for him.”
