Sainsbury arrived back in Australia last month for the first time in five years since her arrest after spending 27 months in a notorious female Colombian jail (pictured, Sainsbury last month at Sydney Airport with her wife Tatiana behind her)

Cassie Sainsbury admitted knowing she was carrying 5.8 kg of cocaine.

The shocking revelation was made upon her arrival in Australia following 27 months in prison.

In interviews with 60 Minutes, she asserted that she was innocent of the crime.

In a startling interview, “Cocaine” star Cassie Sainsbury admitted to knowingly smuggling cocaine out of Colombia.

The bombshell confession is scheduled to air on Channel 7News Spotlight, where the convicted drug smuggler will state that she was aware she was transporting the illegal substance.

Sainsbury had repeatedly asserted her innocence of the crime in unconvincing interviews with 60 Minutes conducted from prison and while she was out on bail in South America.

The Channel 7 documentary advertised that it will reveal Sainsbury’s involvement in a vast organized crime business (pictured, Sainsbury in the explosive interview)

Sainsbury (shown in her dramatic 2017 arrest) said in the 7News Spotlight ad, “I knew what was in there and I feared for my life”

In the 7News Spotlight promo, the convicted drug mule claimed of the drugs in her suitcase, “I knew what was inside.”

Sainsbury was sentenced to six years in prison in 2017 for transporting 5.8 kilograms of cocaine out of Colombia. He will be released from the Bogota prison in April of 2020.

On April 12, 2017, Sainsbury was apprehended as she boarded a trip from Bogota’s El Dorado International Airport to London with the cocaine in 18 headphone boxes inside her suitcase.

She told the program that she feared for her life as a member of a “global drug cartel servicing Australian suburbia.”

It was advertised that the broadcast will uncover information about a vast, organized criminal activity that involved Sainsbury.

The discoveries come after Sainsbury asserted on 60 Minutes in 2017 that she was innocent of the drug allegations.

Her interview with the Channel 9 program was then disregarded because Sainsbury said she has inaccessible proof of her innocence.

She told the current events program that the evidence was stored on her phone, but she could not recall the passcode.

The former fitness instructor claimed she was simply carrying documents and not the 5.8 kg of cocaine discovered on her.

She further claimed that she was forced to provide the narcotics and that her family had been threatened with death.

In the September 2017 interview, she was questioned by reporter Liam Bartlett if she thought the arrangement was shady. She said that she had considered it.

I was on the verge of accepting a job offer, but I had overdue bills. I guess I took the chance. Now I’m present. But it’s a lesson learned, for sure,’ she stated from the notorious El Buen Pastor female prison in Colombia.

As a condition of her bond, Sainsbury was required to remain in Colombia following her release, but she returned to the United States last month.

The convicted drug smuggler arrived with her wife Tatiana, a 34-year-old computer technician, after the couple tied the wedding in March of last year.

Sainsbury previously stated to Daily Mail Australia that he and his future spouse would likely split their time between Australia and Colombia.

She said, “We’ll probably split our time between Australia and Colombia because her family is here, so we’ll spend some time here and some time there.”

Just days after his daughter’s homecoming, Sainsbury’s father claimed that he is enraged that his family has been “dragged through the muck” by her drug conviction.

Stuart Sainsbury, 59, stated that he has not heard from his daughter since her incarceration and that he does not “expect to see her” because she is “full of bulls**t.”

“I still rather angry about it. My family was decimated… I must safeguard my elderly mum,’ he told the Adelaide Advertiser.

After reporter7News reporter Ross Coulthart was observed assisting Sainsbury and Tatiana load their belongings into a minivan upon their return to Australia, the Spotlight interview was anticipated.

It looks that her father’s desire that she would use the television interview to reveal the truth about what occurred has come true.

Mr. Sainsbury noted that few people in the South Australian town of Minlaton, where he resided, had positive things to say about his daughter, but he wished her well.

He answered, “You only want your children to be happy.”
