Jenny Agutter alleges in a new interview that Cruise’s British commute is interfering with the filming of the BBC drama “Call the Midwife.” Agutter is a co-star of the show.
“Tom Cruise constantly interfering with our filming by landing his helicopter in front of the set,” the 69-year-old actress complained to Mirror.
According to reports, the “Top Gun” actor, who holds a pilot’s license, hovered his helicopter over the “Midwife” set in Surrey, England, generating quite a commotion while the cast attempted to film sequences. It seems that Cruise is in town filming “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 2.”
A Cruise representative did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment. Agutter, who portrays Sister Julienne, was asked if she would confront Cruise about his allegedly nasty helicopter behavior.
“In my habit! Imagine the following: “Excuse me, Tom, but we’re trying to film. “I don’t know about you, but get your helicopter out of here as soon as possible!” she joked.
Cruise is not unfamiliar with flying. He is so adept in the air that he is recognized for performing his own stunts in the “Top Gun” movies.
“I’ve always believed that there’s something I can do, and I’ve always desired to further the art form. I pondered, “How can I immerse an audience in a film with such action?” And how can I amuse them? What can I do?’” the 60-year-old actor remarked at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, describing his preoccupation with taking risks.
This year, the daredevil landed his own helicopter on the current “Mission: Impossible” set and flew himself to the premiere of “Top Gun: Maverick.”
Cruise aspires to become the first actor to film a movie in outer space, with the intention of filming aboard the International Space Station.
According to BBC News, Universal Filmed Entertainment Group Chairman Donna Langley stated, “I believe Tom Cruise is leading us all to space.” “That’s the strategy. We are in the process of developing a fantastic project with Tom… Taking a rocket to the International Space Station and firing.”
