Bus accident on Free State highway leaves three injured

On Friday, 27 January 2023, about 5:50 a.m., three passengers were injured in a bus accident on the Free State highway.

Sipho Towa, a spokesperson for the Free State Emergency Medical Services, said the bus overturned at 5:50 a.m. today.

When ER24 paramedics and other services arrived, they saw a bus obstructing the left lane, partly on top of the barricades. A number of people were seen sitting along the roadside.

Medics examined the victims and discovered that just three adults out of the 70 passengers had minor injuries.

Fortunately, no severe injuries or deaths were discovered.

Three individuals with moderate to slight injuries were transferred to the Bloemfontein National Hospital.

The causes of the accident are still unclear.
