Britney Spears returned to Instagram on Friday with a “awkward” video of her eating cake off the floor and flipping off 41 million followers.
The 41-year-old woman said she “accidently hit the wrong button” after deactivating her account on Tuesday, which she has done numerous times previously.
“Yes, it’s my birthday this entire week, and I know my Instagram has been down a few times, but I did it myself the last few times!” The singer captioned the peculiar video.
The Grammy-winning artist said that her “plans” for the upcoming year are to grow more “comfortable” with people, crash a wedding, and “sing a few songs.”
In the lengthy footage, Spears flipped the camera off.
“This is the first year in fifteen that I’ve been treated equally, and good God, I didn’t know about this NO RULE THING!!! Sorry, but this video is so grainy! Is it slightly awkward or odd to observe? “DUH, that’s the entire purpose!”
In the video set to “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt, the “Toxic” singer drank champagne on a living room floor covered with balloons and rose petals while celebrating her birthday.
This week, Spears deactivated her account before reactivating it.

At one point, the singer, who was dressed in a red catsuit, rose to her feet to dance to the music before turning off the camera.
Spears then pushed her head into her birthday cake, smearing her entire face with frosting.
The singer devoured a cake that had been placed on the floor.
The “strange” video arrives only one day after Spears’ husband, Sam Asghari, addressed the singer’s social media absence on his Instagram Stories.
“Social media can be traumatic,” remarked the 28-year-old in a text message. “It is sometimes beneficial to take a break.”
The actor continued, “She is a liberated woman with her own voice. I have a high regard for her privacy and always safeguard it. Thank you to all of her devoted supporters.”
The video’s soundtrack was “Santa Baby.”
Before removing her social media accounts for a few days, the “Gimme More” singer wrote an unexpected homage to her “inspiring” sister Jamie Lynn Spears, with whom she had been warring for years.
She said on Instagram, “Congratulations for being so courageous, inspiring, and exhibiting guts and glory in your show!!!” “You ain’t alone … If anyone understands how that feels, it is me. My little sister!!! I love you !!!”
Spears stated that she did not care if the video was perceived as “strange” or “awkward.”
After Britney’s conservatorship expired in November 2021, the estranged sisters had a falling out, which caused the message to shock her followers.
Since then, Britney has criticized her sister, along with her father Jamie, mother Lynne, and brother Bryan Spears, for keeping her in a “abusive” legal arrangement.
