Thursday, the 41-year-old singer addressed a personal message to her younger sister after ranting about never “feeling welcomed by family.”
“Jamie Lynn, you need to feel self-worth being my sister !!!” Britney captioned her Instagram image. “Just look UP, honey… Remember THAT WHAT YOU HOLD IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN WHAT YOU SEE!!
She blamed social media and technology for distorting the “Zoey 101” star’s image of her older sister, and advised her to “never forget where you came from.”
The performer advised her estranged sister to discover her “self-worth.”
“As we all glance down at our high-tech phones nowadays in an attempt to find meaning and connect with this entity we call Earth… Because you’ve finally bared your privates to the world!!! Are the BIRDS LISTENING??? Hopefully, they will receive POSITIVE messages today.”
The enigmatic message was published only weeks after the “Toxic” singer stunned fans by complimenting her “amazing” sister, 31, in the midst of their continuing conflict.
It’s my birthday, but you’re my heart, so I’m thinking about you…,” the singer wrote in a caption that has since been deleted.
Adding, “Congratulations for exhibiting such courage, inspiration, and valor in your performance!!!. You ain’t alone … If anyone knows how that feels,… I got it. My little sister!!! I love you !!!”
Since Britney’s 14-year conservatorship — which governed her personal, medical, and financial affairs — was ended last year, the siblings have been publicly feuding, so the affectionate caption came as a surprise.
During a furious social media rant, the Grammy-winning singer said she “should have slapped” her “selfish little brat” sister and mother, Lynne.

Jamie Lynn attempted to put the record straight by asserting that the sisters are on excellent terms behind closed doors despite Britney’s contradicting posts.
“Brit, I am always here for you; you know that I have always been present behind the scenes. It’s exhausting when our private discussions and texts contradict what you put on social media,” she commented on Instagram.
