The vacationer attempted to retrieve some of his stuff by stacking his luggage and clothes on the bed.
In the video, he can be seen wading in the hallway as dirty water fills the room and reaches the walls.
Mr. Robert, from Manchester, alleges that hotel employees did not take the event seriously and merely provided him with towels for his room.
He said that he lost fifty percent of his belongings in the floods, which reached his knees.
Yesterday (THUR), Jamie went to Twitter to request aid from his TUI representatives, writing: ‘@TUIUK hey we need urgent assistance pls RE Touareg Boa Vista.

Following the event, Mr. Robert said that the resort employees simply provided him towels for his room.
The whole resort is submerged, and the rooms are inundated with filthy sewage.
“Staff at reception are not taking this matter seriously, and nobody is responding to our inquiries.
‘We woke up at 4am to our room ankle deep in wastewater.
We had lost our belongings, and raw sewage was rising from the shower drain.
“No aid whatsoever from the hotel employees; I had to wake up other guests to inform them.” I am humiliated.
Later, he continued, ‘Reception personnel repeatedly informed me that the hotel manager would not be available for help until his shift began at 8 a.m. local time.
The vacationer attempted to recover some of his stuff by placing his luggage and clothes on the bed.
The receptionist first informed the traveler that the hotel manager would be unable to help him.
“When we arrived at reception at 4.30 a.m., the water had intensified.”
This is horrifying: we’re wading through sewage to recover what we can.
A TUI spokesman replied: ‘Hi Jamie – Thank you for bringing this to our attention, and I apologize for what has occurred.
“I have brought this to the attention of our resort staff, and we will contact you as soon as possible. Ashley.’
“Thank you, Ashley,” Jamie said. This is the total amount of damage.
We lost half of our belongings as a consequence of the hotel staff’s poor handling of the weather, which I realize is not your fault.
