Four days after going missing, the corpse of a youngster was discovered in a dam in Sydney’s southwest.

Around 1.40 pm on Thursday, police divers found the corpse of 19-year-old Rahul Singh in a dam at the Mount Annan Botanical Gardens.

Around six in the morning on Sunday, Mr. Singh was last seen near Alchornea Crescent on Mount Annan. Just before 7am, he was captured on camera entering the grounds through the western gate.

Police divers recovered the body of Rahul Singh, 19, from a dam at the Mount Annan Botanical Gardens about 1.40pm Thursday.Police had made an appeal for information regarding his location after learning that his bipolar disorder-suffering relatives and friends had serious worries for his welfare.

The ‘large-scale, multi-agency search’, according to a NSW Police spokeswoman on Thursday afternoon, included Police Rescue, PolAir, Dog and Mounted Unite, Police Divers, Operational Support Group, SES, and NSW Rural Fire Service.

Initial investigations indicate that the man’s death was not suspicious.
