‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ tops box office for third Friday

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” dominated the box office for a third consecutive Friday.

According to IMDB’s Box Office Mojo, the Marvel superhero picture grossed a remarkable $18.2 million on the day after Thanksgiving alone.

Since its release on November 11, the megahit has generated $597 million in global sales, including $340 million at U.S. theaters.

Wednesday’s debut of Disney’s computer-animated sci-fi adventure “Strange World” placed it in a distant second place with $5.2 million in sales.

According to The Post, the film starring Dennis Quaid and Jake Gyllenhaal as a father-son duo “lies up to its title.”

“Devotion,” which was released on November 23 and brought in $2.4 million, placed third.

The epic is based on the friendship between Navy’s first black aviator Jesse Leroy Brown and fellow pilot Thomas J. Hudner Jr. during the Korean War.

“The Menu,” which was in second place last week, fell to fourth place with $2 million in earnings.

The DC Comics superhero film “Black Adam,” which is now accessible to stream at home, followed with revenues of approximately $1.2 million.
