Babes Wodumo gave her deceased mother-in-law ZamaNguni Gumede homage. Today, the Wololo hitmaker confirmed the untimely loss of Mampintsha’s mother on her late husband’s Facebook page (16 January).
It appears that when it rains at Mampintsha’s residence, it pours. The late Kwaito star’s mother passed away on 30 December 2022, weeks after her son passed away from a stroke.
During her address at the burial, Babes Wodumo reconciled with her mother-in-law, and the two were spotted sharing a kiss as they resolved their family drama.
Shortly after the funeral, Babes Wodumo resumed performing, and Gumede reportedly expressed displeasure with how the Gqom queen mourned her son.
Mampintsha’s mum has passed away – report
Pinky Gumede, Mampintsha’s sister, reported that her mother had suffered a stroke and was hospitalized. She requested money from Mampintsha’s admirers as she battled to pay her mother’s hospital fees. She revealed that ZamaNguni was perplexed and frequently requested Mampintsha.
Pinky stated that she had not reached out to Babes Wodumo or any of the Simelane family members for financial assistance since she never wanted to appear to be pestering them.

“If she [ZamaNguni] were seriously ill, Pinky would call and inform the family. Why has nobody called?”
Mampintsha’s sister recently revealed to the Daily Sun that ZamaNguni (64) passed away in Wentworth hospital on Sunday.
“She informed me that she was old and departing. I confirmed that everyone was present in response to her inquiry. I informed her that Sponge, Mampintsha’s son, was not in attendance. Pinky was reported in the paper as stating, “I could see the sadness in her eyes, and she did not speak.”
“She bestowed upon us her blessing, and we spent time with her. Then, we departed. “Around 10:00, I received a phone call informing me that she had passed away,” the distraught daughter added.
Finally, Babes Wodumo broke her silence on the matter with her mother-in-law. The Umngan’Wam hitmaker posted her favorite ZamaNguni memories on social media with the comment,
