Anna Delvey, a convicted fraudster, phony socialite, jailhouse artist, reality celebrity, and recent hostess of a downtown party, may now add another improbable credential to her portfolio. Harvard speaker.
Delvey, who drank her way through New York City’s finest social circles and bilked luxury hotels out of thousands, will not get this opportunity for the first time.
Last September, she spoke electronically to students in Columbia University’s “Intro to Reporting” course from an ICE detention facility.
She reportedly answered, “If I’m sorry,” when asked what question she wishes reporters would stop asking her.
According to a source, Delvey has also spoken with students from NYU and Oxford University in England for their theses.
This month, Kim Kardashian also lectured at Harvard Business School as part of the school’s non-credit Short Intensive Programs in the “Moving Beyond DTC” seminar. As part of the event, Tracee Ellis Ross and Julianne Hough have also spoken.
Delvey was convicted of grand theft and theft of services in 2019. She was also convicted of attempted grand theft for attempting to obtain a $22 million bank loan for an arts club via deception.
Delvey, whose tale was included in the Netflix documentary “Inventing Anna,” was sentenced to 4 to 12 years in jail and freed on February 11, 2021, based on his good behavior.
Having to stay at home is in no way limiting her style: She has already begun filming “Delvey’s Dinner Club,” a reality show.
Last Friday, she hosted a dinner party and rave, called “Club House Arrest,” at her East Village house for New York City’s current downtown elite. For admittance, attendees were reportedly required to sign nondisclosure agreements and provide their social security numbers.
The gathering was catered, and Delvey reportedly had a stylist dress her in two different gowns for the occasion.
