AmaZulu previews DStv Diski Challenge

This Saturday, Orlando Pirates Reserves will play AmaZulu at Rand Stadium in the DStv Diski Challenge.

Joseph Makhanya’s troops, who have spent the last two weeks on the road, return to familiar terrain, while their opponents start on a road trip after playing their most recent match at home.

Form Guide

Kgwadi Molepo and Mehluleli Maphumulo scored for the Bucs Reserves in their Soweto Derby victory against Swallows in Dobsonville, which resulted in a 2-0 score. The Bucs Reserves will now want to continue their winning ways.

The triumph was their second in four matches, in which they also suffered defeat and played to a draw to amass seven points early in the season.

They are currently fourth in the standings and will be looking another three points that might propel them to second place, but they will have to do so against an AmaZulu side seeking to return to winning ways after suffering a loss in their most recent match.

The Usuthu Reserves suffered a 2-0 loss to KwaZulu-Natal rivals Richards Bay FC in a derby last weekend, just like the Buccaneers.

This was their second loss of the season, and they currently lie two slots below the Pirates in the standings.

Head-to-Head

AmaZulu defeated Pirates 3-1 at Rand Stadium in March, while Boitumelo Radiopane and Nkosinathi Temba scored late goals for Pirates in a former match played two months earlier.

While the two teams concluded the previous season with an even head-to-head record, the Bucs Reserves have had the better of recent results in this match, with four victories and only two losses in their last six meetings with Usuthu.

How to Watch AmaZulu Reserves vs. Orlando Pirates Reserves
