Route Options for Motorists
Ahead of the Post Inaugural Programme scheduled to take place at Agege Stadium on Saturday, June 3, 2023, the Lagos State Ministry of Transportation has designated alternative routes for motorists to ease traffic congestion during the event.
Pero to Otubu Route:
Motorists coming from Oba Akran can utilize the route from Pero to Otubu via Mosholashi Alhaja and continue their journeys by taking Pen-Cinema.
Balogun Road (Maternity) Route:
For those traveling from Ogba, Wemco, and Akilo Road, they can access Oba Ogunji Road and proceed inwards Moshalasi Alhaja through Balogun Road (Maternity) to reach their destinations.
Shobowale Street Diversion:
To facilitate traffic flow, there will be a diversion through Shobowale Street, which is located off Akilo Road, to connect to Agege Stadium.
Diversion for Event Attendees
Showonuola Street Diversion:
Attendees of the event will be redirected to Showonuola Street, off Alhaja One on Ogba Road.
From there, they can connect to Oshitelu Street, leading them to Agege Stadium.
Wemco Road Access:
Another access point for event attendees is Wemco Road, which connects to Marketing on Ogba-Ijaye Road and provides a route to Agege Stadium.
Traffic Management and Cooperation
Effective Traffic Management:
The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) and other traffic enforcement personnel have been instructed to ensure the efficient management and control of traffic during the event.
Cooperation from Motorists:
Motorists are urged to cooperate with this travel advisory and follow the designated routes to prevent unnecessary travel delays.
