Al-Ahli, owned by Pitso Mosimane, leads the Saudi Arabian log

Pitso Mosimane continues to excel at Al-Ahli, as he led them to the top of the Saudi First Division log this time.

Al-Ahli played a catch-up game against Al-Jabalain on Tuesday and won 3-0 to tie Al-Faisaly in points but surpass them in goal differential.

BUT…

This is the first time that Mosimane’s team has topped the log at Al-Ahli, where their Kagiso-born coach remains unbeaten.

Since Mosimane took charge, Al-Ahli have gone 12 games without a loss in competitive play, with seven victories and five draws.

Mosimane recently added Brazilian striker Amaral, popularly known as Marcao, to his Al-Ahli squad after he led Wuhan Three Towns to the Chinese Super League championship with 27 goals in 26 matches.

He joined Saudi Arabia in a €4.5 million (R83 million) move and will bring firepower to Mosimane’s squad as they seek promotion to the premier division.
