After accusations of racism and sexism, famous cricket club supports Stephen Fry

While hosting a cricket dinner at the MCC, Stephen Fry is said to have made sexist and racial comments.

Chris Waterman, a member of the Marylebone Cricket Club, filed a complaint alleging that Fry made the following statement: “I had planned to say, “Good evening, ladies and gentlemen,” but there are no woman members here.”

They must be off sh*gging, I guess.

According to Mr. Waterman, the TV presenter also made reference to the JM Barrie-founded cricket side Allahakbarries and made the joke that “Allahu Akbar” nowadays is typically followed by a loud boom.

The racist remark, on the other hand, was allegedly never spoken, according to other diners and the club in north-west London.

Guy Lavender, the chief executive of the MCC, deemed Mr. Waterman’s story to be “factually inaccurate.”

Fry, the club’s president, has resisted offering an apology.

Mr. Waterman has demanded that he be subject to punishment.
