According to police, Levi Davis may be arrested soon

The private detective in charge of finding missing Levi Davis says he thinks an arrest might happen soon as a result of a shocking report that detectives are presenting to the Spanish police.

Gavin Burrows claims he is identifying people in a shocking exposé that includes proof the rugby player and X-Factor contestant had been intimidated and subjected to blackmail over a debt owed to the Somali mafia.

When Spanish police learn what our own inquiry has turned up, Mr. Burrows, whose Line of Inquiry business is offering a £10,000 prize for information that might lead to Levi being located, said yesterday night: “I think Spanish police will have enough to make an arrest.”

They should have enough information at the very least to bring someone in for questioning.

I’m not free to disclose names at this time, but there is one individual in particular I have strong concerns about and think might help explain what happened to Levi.

Detective searching for missing former X Factor contestant Levi Davis claims an arrest is imminent

“That person” is someone who, although seeming to be helpful, has, in my opinion, just served as a roadblock to attempting to stop our investigations from going further.

In a horrifying last video, Levi, 24, described being blackmailed by thugs who threatened to murder him and his family. Levi erased the film at first, but it reappeared last week, three months after he disappeared in Barcelona.

He took a ship from Ibiza on October 29 and was last seen leaving an Irish bar.

Mr. Burrows said that he had located the Instagram video that Levi had originally uploaded four days before to going missing and had shared it with the consent of family and friends in order to assist in the search for information.

Levi Davis, an ex-rugby player for Bath, introduces himself and declares that his life is in danger at the beginning of the 15-minute clip. Before continuing, he said he thought he was recorded engaging in many sexual activities after being intoxicated, which blackmailers exploited to influence and control him.

“I was informed by them in ways that are not directly stated but are certainly accurate that they were going to try — if I spoke anything out — to murder me, harm my family,” he said.

And they were attempting to frame me as well.

Prior to the terrifying video twist to the high-profile abduction, the rumors of the Somali mafia first appeared in Spain. According to reputable Catalan daily La Vanguardia, Levi owed almost £100,000 when his lifestyle got out of hand.

Although Mr. Burrows last night defined it as a possibility and claimed it was also conceivable Levi was still alive and being forced to work as a courier by the group he had gotten into debt with, they matched with accusations Levi might have drowned in Barcelona’s harbour close to where his passport was recovered.

We haven’t had the best connection with the Catalan police, but we’re optimistic that will improve now that we can deal with them directly rather than going through someone, as Levi’s mother revealed to us has no authority to speak on anyone’s behalf.

It significantly increases the likelihood that we can help in hastening the conclusion of this really troubling matter.

Depressed Following a knee injury that kept him out of rugby, Levi was having a sabbatical in Europe.

On October 29, a few hours after boarding a boat from Ibiza, he was seen on surveillance leaving the Old Irish Pub on La Rambla at 10 p.m. with just €40 (£35) and no change of clothing.

His decision to leave the island was “sudden,” according to friend Richard Squire, who officially reported him missing to police in Barcelona after his family notified West Midlands police.

Levi inexplicably removed up to 38 connections from his Instagram account after going missing, it was discovered last week.

Between 2017 to 2020, Levi played Premiership rugby union for Bath before switching to Ealing Trailfinders. He joined with the Worthing Raiders a year later.

With fellow rugby players Thom Evans and Ben Foden, the rugby player-turned-reality star competed on X Factor: Celebrity in 2019 as a member of the group Try Star.

He starred on the E4 dating program Celebs Go Virtual Dating in 2020, the year he made history by being the first rugby union player to come out as bisexual while still playing.
