According to IFP, EFF’s allegations are dramatic and made up

The IFP has denied claims that it is planning to kill EFF Secretary-General Marshall Dlamini as a result of the breakdown of coalition negotiations between the two parties.

The IFP and the EFF will no longer work together, according to EFF leader Julius Malema, who also encouraged party members to back any motions of no confidence against IFP mayors. The police allegedly informed the EFF on Tuesday that top IFP members are aiming for Dlamini’s head, according to the EFF.

According to “reliable intelligence inputs,” the IFP believes Dlamini is exclusively to blame for the party’s decision to launch motions of no confidence against IFP mayors in a number of province-wide towns.

IFP national spokesman Mkhuleko Hlengwas responded to the EFF’s claims by calling them “vile falsehoods” and said they are “sensationalist, unfounded, and manufactured.”

“This is typical historical ANC playbook stuff,” he said. “False narratives, victimization, and where they enlist the support of the security forces before accusing others of doing what they are going to do.”

“In the face of a building internal insurrection stemming from its intention to return the ANC to power, the EFF’s illusions of grandeur have gone full circle,”

According to Hlengwa, the EFF overstated its impact since it believed the IFP would suffer as a result of its partying habits.

“However, when the EFF starts pushing on our people’s old wounds without regard for the suffering that this produces, that is when we must caution the EFF. The accusations are hazardous and provocative political maneuvering.

“They have provided absolutely no evidence to support this severe allegation, and the IFP now asks that the SAPS [police] look into it.” The SAPS would have made arrests if they had actual knowledge of an assassination plan and the plotters.

According to Hlengwa, the IFP wants Police Minister Bheki Cele to address the claims that the group is preparing to kill Dlamini.

The EFF’s strategy to leave a co-governance agreement, he said, did not have the desired effect, so the red berets turned to make “unfounded and highly dangerous” accusations.

They thought they could pressure the IFP into handing up municipalities, but the IFP refused to violate the confidence of the people who supported us.

The EFF is accusing the IFP of outrageous, baseless, and highly dangerous things now that their plans have failed. Additionally, it is not lost on us that the EFF’s blossoming affection for the ANC is intended to facilitate extravagant theft and fundraising in the VBS fashion, in advance of its much anticipated 10th birthday festivities in July.

Hlengwa expressed concern that the EFF’s actions were disrespectful to the voters and compared them to an abusive relationship in which “victims” were “victims of a disgusting bully.”

These political opportunists have retreated to their own vomit now that they are aware that the IFP is the largest opponent in KwaZulu-Natal for 2024. All of a sudden, the IFP—with whom they had joyfully collaborated up to the point when we refused to relinquish control of Umhlathuze—is a “agent of apartheid” who “only flourishes via violence.”

“The EFF is known for its distinctive brand of flip-flopping. Let’s not forget that Mr. Malema, who said in 2021 that the EFF would “in no way” vote with the ANC, is now doing just that.

“How can anybody believe in a leadership that makes snap decisions? Everything it claims now will be proven false tomorrow. Thus, the IFP won’t be shocked if the EFF approaches us once again in 2024 to apologize for the foolish things it is saying right now in an effort to improve its position.
