EFF rejects the alleged IFP plot to kill its leader

The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have expressed scorn for an alleged plot by the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) to assassinate Secretary General Marshall Dlamini.

The party stated that it was informed by the South African Police Service (SAPS) that senior IFP leaders are preparing to kill Dlamini.

According to credible intelligence sources cited by the EFF, senior IFP officials think that Dlamini is entirely responsible for the decision to initiate and support motions of no confidence against IFP mayors in a number of KwaZulu-Natal towns.

Additionally, the EFF demands that Tshwane Mayor Randall Williams resign immediately.

Recently, the EFF severed relations with IFP coalitions and instructed its Deputy Mayors to leave.

“The EFF condemns with contempt any attempt to assassinate our Secretary General or any other leader for petty and self-serving political reasons.” The province of KwaZulu-Natal has been characterized for a very long time by numerous political assassinations, a practice that the EFF has never been associated with and has condemned from its founding 10 years ago, the party said.
