A Turkish grandmother stung by a turtle feared for her life

A granny who was attacked and bitten by a massive sea turtle while on vacation in Turkey claimed she was afraid for her life.

The gigantic loggerhead turtle, which weighs as much as a dairy cow, sunk its powerful beak into the back of 64-year-old Lidia Bazarova barely 10 feet from the beach.

The horrifying assault occurred at the Antalya beach town of Güzeolaba, and the Russian lady, who required medical treatment, said: “I was pretty near to shore – about 3 or 4 metres – when I simply rolled onto my back.”

Then something caught hold of my behind.

“It was quite terrifying.”

I had no idea why I had been abruptly snatched.

She said that the huge turtle attempted to pull her beneath the sea.

I was drowning while battling the water with my arms.

The thing let me go before grabbing me and biting me even harder.

“I have no idea how long that lasted.”

The traveller comforted herself by cuddling her 37-year-old daughter Kamila and said, “Fortunately, a rescuer guy noticed me.

He rushed over to me and began screaming at the beast.

I suppose it turned its focus to the saviour.

She fled toward the shore in a condition of intense fear after being released from the giant sea turtle’s hold. The saviour then engaged the creature in combat before finally frightening it away.

I hurried to the sea,” Lidia said.

I’m not sure what his condition was, but his arm is fractured. I was struggling with both pain and terror.

The muscular jaw and sharp beak inflicted wounds on Yekaterinburg resident Lidia’s legs, buttocks, hip, and fingers.

After her struggle with the sea turtle, she found it hard to sit comfortably.

She said that she used to visit this location in the resort of Güzeolaba every other day, but no more.

Lidia told the IHA news agency, “I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to go back in the water.”

Lifeguard Mustafa Sar was identified as the heroic saviour; according to accounts, he was bitten on the shoulder.

The Caretta Caretta, often known as the loggerhead sea turtle, is a carnivore that may weigh as much as a dairy cow.

According to reports from Antalya, the woman’s buttocks were severely injured.

We appreciate the lifeguard,” Kamila stated.

‘Maybe the outcome would have been poor without him.

“There have been incidents like this previously.”

Before my mother, a guy and a lady were also bitten.

“We want a sign informing people about this risk.”

It’s unfortunate that we won’t be swimming in the ocean anymore.

According to Turkish expert Professor Mehmet Gökolu, turtles have a history of attacking people who enter their “dwelling place.”

He said, “There are instances of biting in shallow waters.”

According to a source, 11 such turtle assaults occurred in the previous two weeks.
