A murder inquiry has been opened following last night’s fatal stabbing of a man inside a pub in West London.

At 11:55 p.m., reports of a stabbing inside the Star & Scorpion bar on Uxbridge Road in Ealing prompted a call to the police.

Along with the London Ambulance Service, officers attended.

The man, who was thought to be in his 50s, was declared dead at the spot.

The victim’s family has been informed, and specialised officers will support them, according to Scotland Yard.

The force also stated that formal identification and a post-mortem examination would be scheduled soon.

At what the police described as a “early stage” of the investigation, no arrests have been made.

A 23-year-old man was repeatedly knifed in the back inside another London pub in a separate incident within an hour of this fatal stabbing.

Following allegations of the stabbing, officers were summoned shortly after midnight last night to the Fatling Hornchurch pub in Havering, east London.

The 23-year-old victim was treated on the spot for “a number of stab wounds” before being taken to the hospital.

According to police, his status at the hospital is still critical but stable. His heirs have been notified.

Police in Ealing are asking anyone with information or witnesses to call them at (101), quoting case number 8656/23Jul.
