Stephen Slotwiner, age 76, was arrested at his rented residence in the town of Arambol.

The cops seized 512 grams of cannabis, 40 ecstasy tablets, 80 grams of MDMA, and some LSD during the raid.

According to India’s Narcotic Drug and Psychotropic Substances Act, Slotwiner could face up to six months in prison.

Officers stormed his residence after receiving information regarding drug possession.

Inspector Dattaram Raut of the police department verified the raid and drug seizure.

Those caught with over a kilogram of illegal substances face between 10 and 20 years in prison.

The chief minister of Goa has called for a crackdown on the drug trade, which has led to a string of recent narcotics busts in the region.

Other individuals who have been arrested with narcotics include a tourist from Bengaluru and a restaurant owner.

According to the police, Slotwiner has been charged under the NDPS Act.
