41 years old electrician confesses to killing his wife and children in their New Jersey home

According to authorities, a man in New Jersey who fatally murdered his wife, daughter, and son before shooting himself called a cousin to confess what he had done.

Before shooting himself once in the head, Krzysztof Nieroda, 41, contacted a family member to describe the horrific facts of the triple homicide.

The body of the electrician was discovered on Sunday in his Linden house, along with that of his wife Justyna, a beautician, his son Sebastian, 14, and daughter Natalie, 13.

Although initially surviving the shooting, Sebastian passed away at the hospital.

The shooting’s motivation is now unknown, and local law enforcement is still looking into the case.

Neighbors have been left to weep and wonder what happened to the family since the remains were found inside their home on Sunday morning.

She always had a pleasant smile on her face and was quite sweet. Would suspect there was a problem,” a neighbor told CBS New York.

The couple had settled into their tranquil suburban home in 2007.

Krzysztof worked as an electrician, according to his LinkedIn profile. Justyna worked as a beautician and hairstylist at Prestige in Rahway, New Jersey.

Krzysztof announced on Facebook that he and Justyna were going on a date to a nearby restaurant less than a month before the murder-suicide.

The man just scribbled “Date time.” “Me and my lovely wife.”

The family was regarded as “calm” and “pleasant” by locals, who also claimed to frequently see them out walking their dog.

They are an ordinary family. It is therefore impossible to believe, according to a neighbor.

The individual added that the family enjoyed camping and that their kitchen had just been renovated.

Superintendent of the Linden School District Rocco G. Tomazic announced on Monday that grief counselors are available for both staff and kids.

Tomazic stated that Sebastian was in the eighth grade and Natalie was in the seventh.

The superintendent said in a statement that “any student fatality hurts us all.”

Yet we won’t ever get used to loss like this to the point that we can’t react with compassion, empathy, and understanding. We’ll be there for one another through thick and thin. Let’s all cooperate to achieve it,” he said.

Friends and classmates of Natalie and Sebastian were reportedly seen leaving flowers and balloons outside of their home on Sunday night, according to CBS New York.

As her neighbor Digna Alvarez told the site, “I feel bad today since I’ve known those kids since they were born.”

I have never witnessed a fight in this home. Everybody there were incredibly friendly. Family, a close-knit family. They frequently went outside to play in the snow and ride bicycles together, according to Alvarez.

Governor Phil Murphy of New Jersey likewise declared that he was aware of the predicament and would “help Linden however possible.”

Now, local leaders are exploiting the tragedy to urge anyone who might be in need to ask for assistance.

In a statement, Union County Prosecutor William Daniel remarked that “with catastrophes of this magnitude, there are no words that can heal, nor explanations that may attempt to make sense of them to the public.”

In the wake of this terrible incident, Daniel stated, “Our sympathies are with the families and friends of these victims as well as the entire Linden community.”

The prosecutor’s remarks were mirrored by Linden Police Chief David Hart, who advised the public to seek mental-health care.

As we mourn the death of our friends and neighbors, Hart stated, “We are not alone in our mourning; everyone of us has a shared obligation to be there for our loved ones.”

Call the U.S. National Suicide Prevention Hotline at 800-273-TALK if you or someone you know is contemplating suicide (8255). It is a no-cost, round-the-clock service that provides assistance, knowledge, and nearby resources.
