Arthur Hawrylewicz, 41, is accused of attempting to drag Maria Osifeso onto train tracks.

A man accused of attempting to kill a lady at King’s Cross Underground Station by pushing her into the lines while’severely intoxicated’ has been remanded in custody.

Arthur Hawrylewicz, 41, is accused of attempting to murder Maria Osifeso on the Hammersmith and City Line on Monday of the Bank Holiday weekend.

Hawrylewicz, from Cardiff, is believed to have sustained injuries himself after being struck by a train after allegedly pulling the victim onto the tracks.

Prosecutors asserted that the defendant was “very intoxicated” and exhibited “suicidal tendencies” during the commission of the crime.

Wearing a grey tracksuit and shirt, he appeared in court from HMP Wandsworth and spoke only to confirm his name, residence, and date of birth.

Mr. Robert Simpson, the prosecutor, told the court, “The offense was done while the defendant was extremely intoxicated and suicidal, so increasing his likelihood of committing other crimes.”

After the woman in issue was taken from Mr. Hawrylewicz, he repeatedly hit his head against the train’s side.
