From bingeing on drink and drugs to preaching from a pulpit, Kabelo Mabalane has come a long way as a TKZee star.
The musician and motivational speaker is celebrating twenty years of sobriety after a “rock star” past.
On Instagram, Kabelo commemorated the twentieth anniversary of his sobriety.
Today, twenty years ago, a ride unlike any other started. This voyage has enhanced my realism, and I now believe in miracles. Thank you, Jesus. If I can accomplish it, then so can you.
In 2002, Kabelo decided to get treatment for his excessive partying. And instead, the TKZee singer devoted himself to fitness, motivational speaking, and his family.
In addition, he authored a book entitled I Ran For My Life: My Story, which details his troubled history.
In an interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG, Kabelo said that he once spent R2 million on illegal substances. The celebrity dubbed “Bouga Luv” claimed to use “four to five grams each day.”
He said, “It disrupts your finances.
“I got into a lot of problems, dude, and I thank God it didn’t turn into an Oscar Pistorious or Jub Jub situation where people died, you know what I mean?”

LEBO M IS “BENEFITED AND GLAD.”
Lebo M, like Kabelo, is marking a major milestone in his recovery. The renowned writer and musician, whose works include the score for Disney’s The Lion King, has remained sober for seventeen years.
Lebo M hailed his success on Twitter.
Lebo thanked his supporters for their encouragement and support with a self-portrait. He said, “Thank you for your generosity of spirit and support during my seventeen years of recovery.” I am forever thankful”.

Lebo M disclosed on Podcast and Chill in July that the loss of his son Thembalethu was one of the primary reasons he became sober.
The 14-month-old kid of Lebo and his second wife, Nandi Ndlovu, sadly drowned in the swimming pool of their Dainfern residence.
The event caused Lebo M to fall into a deep melancholy and turn to drink for consolation.
