Today, a 16-year-old male, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was charged with Murder and Possession of a Bladed Article in connection with the fatal stabbing of Kyle Hackland.
On Thursday, December 1, he is scheduled to appear before the Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court.
Hackland, 17 years old, was tragically stabbed on Southlea Road in Withington on Tuesday, November 22 at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Last week, following the death of Hackland, three adolescents between the ages of 16 and 18 were arrested on suspicion of murder and then released.
Last Friday, when paying respect to Hackland, his family noted, “We are crushed by the loss of our darling Kyle.” He was such a considerate and well-mannered young man who always looked out for his family, never leaving the house without saying “I love you.”
There are no words adequate to explain the pain we are experiencing. We have always been such a close-knit family, but this event has broken us all apart.
‘He will always be remembered as a handsome son, as well as a kind and helpful older brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend. Without him, life will never be the same, and we are shattered.”
