A primary school pupil “semi-retires” at the age of just 11.
Pixie Curtis made a fortune from the hair accessory company she founded with the aid of her public relations expert mother Roxy Jacenko, Pixie’s Bows.
Then, in more recent years, she started a company selling fidget spinners called Pixie’s Fidgets, which brought in £110,000 in just one month.
The Aussie schoolgirl also runs a popular Instagram account with more than 120,000 followers.
She is also chauffeured in style to and from school in a Mercedes Benz that costs £141,000 and has a chauffeur.
Yet, the young student has other goals in mind for the future.
Pixie is putting her enterprises on hold to concentrate on her academics, according to her mother Roxy.
“Pixie has decided to hang her online toy company shoes up to focus on her approaching enrollment into high school,” she said, according to news.com.au.
“In brief, we have been talking about our family’s business plans for the upcoming months and have come to the conclusion that, while it has been a great trip that began around three years ago, it was time to refocus with high school just around the corner.
While the Pixie’s Pix online store will continue to exist, it will return to its original position as the best source for children’s hair bows and accessories known as Pixie’s Bows. We will continue to handle this together but with significantly less time and stress for Pixie.
Pixie’s mother claims that “the entrepreneurial spirit that she has at such a young age” is what most inspires her about her daughter’s accomplishment.
Certainly, keeping a close eye on business runs in the family.
Roxy has many flourishing communications companies in addition to a £3.6 million Sydney residence.
Even though her daughter won’t be able to drive legally for another six years, she still bought her a top-of-the-line Mercedes last August.
Moreover, Roxy spent $23,000 on a lavish party for Pixie last year that had a nightclub theme.
A 360-degree photo booth, a personal hair stylist, a skilled DJ, two zebras, and even pyrotechnics were all part of the celebration.
