Yankees complete their coaching staff with the addition of Brad Wilkerson

Two weeks before the start of spring training, the Yankees have officially finalized their coaching staff.

They did so by making Brad Wilkerson their assistant hitting coach on Monday, filling the vacancy left by Hensley Meulens’ departure to become the hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies.

Wilkerson, 45 years old, has eight MLB seasons of experience. He will work alongside hitting coach Dillon Lawson and hitting assistant Casey Dykes.

Wilkerson, a former outfielder with the Expos/Nationals, Rangers, Mariners, and Blue Jays, has served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for Jacksonville University for the past three years.

This season, the remainder of the Yankees’ coaching staff from 2022 is expected to return. By February 16, pitchers and catchers must report to Tampa.
