Introducing Pearl: The World’s Shortest Living Dog

A Chihuahua named Pearl, aged two, has been officially recognized as the world’s shortest living dog by Guinness World Records.

Measuring a mere 9.14 cm (3.59 inches) in height, Pearl is even shorter than an ice lolly stick. Hailing from Florida, this tiny canine weighs just over half a kilogram.

Continuing the Legacy

Interestingly, Pearl is related to the previous record holder, Miracle Milly, who stood at 9.65 cm (3.8 in).

Both dogs weighed less than an ounce at birth. Pearl’s owner, Vanesa Semler, feels blessed to have her and the unique opportunity to break their own record.

Pearl’s Lifestyle and Appearances

Pearl enjoys a diet of high-quality food, such as chicken and salmon, and loves to dress up.

Vanesa and Pearl have a lot of fun together, and Pearl even starred on an Italian TV talent show, Lo Show Dei Record.

Described as “a bit of a diva,” Pearl was measured by Dr. Giovanni Vergel using a dog measuring wicket at the same hospital where she was born, Crystal Creek Animal Hospital in Orlando, Florida.

A Unique Canine in the Family

Vanesa has three other dogs, all of which are of “normal” sizes, making Pearl the only small one in the family.
