A young woman’s neighbour said that he often overheard her arguing with her lover and once observed a blood trail coming from her door after discovering her dismembered in her apartment.
The unidentified lady was killed in her blood-stained Apartment 6F at Linwood Park Apartments, a low-income housing complex in East New York, Brooklyn. Her corpse was discovered inside two distinct bags.
Before she was discovered dead, the unidentified 21-year-old victim had an order of protection against her ex-boyfriend, according to NY Daily News.
The neighbour, who wished to remain anonymous, said that he had seen a blood trail flowing from her door and heard noises coming from her apartment approximately a week before.
I just got home from work, and when I went upstairs, I saw a blood trail going straight from her apartment to the front door, just lots and lots of blood, he added.
The moment the police arrive, the argument and fighting go upstairs to her apartment, where no one answers the door as the police bang on it repeatedly.
“The police came here maybe six times, and each time the same thing happened.”
The majority of the time, you hear these things at night.
I suppose it’s simply a typical occurrence that one day spiralled out of hand.
Weeks before she vanished, the young woman’s argument with her still-at-large ex-boyfriend could be heard within the building.
He is now a “person of interest” in the inquiry.
He was prohibited from going to her flat as part of the protective order.
Before Wednesday’s neighbours were aware of a bad stench emanating from within the house, she had not been seen for a number of weeks.
Early on Thursday morning, someone phoned the building’s super to ask for a welfare check, which led to the gruesome discovery.
The victim’s boyfriend reportedly greeted the super when he arrived at the apartment and refused to allow him inside.
The boyfriend and another guy were then observed leaving the building while carrying a duffel bag after the man had contacted the police, according to the NY Daily News.
When the super went back to the unoccupied flat, he discovered the body parts-filled luggage and a butcher cleaver in the toilet.
Police are now desperately looking for the victim’s ex-boyfriend and the guy he was last seen leaving with.
No one is in arrest, according to an NYPD spokeswoman, despite the identification of a person of interest.
The apartment complex accommodates recently released Rikers convicts in addition to 100 affordable housing apartments.
According to officials, “a substantial quantity of blood” was discovered on the property.
To be really honest with you, this is hardly the finest area, but this is absurd. Absolute nonsense,’ my neighbour Lindsey Vena told ABC7. It scares me to even be in this area. I’m only ill.
This is frightening. It’s just sort of nasty knowing that there’s someone doing this where you rest your head at night,’ she added, adding that she lives here with her family.
The Daily News was informed by neighbour Kim Angeles that “the super discovered her corpse in bags.”
‘Having to cope with this is terrifying. My two kids reside in this area. This shouldn’t be something we have to deal with.
