A 32-year-old man attacked with a frying pan by the mother of his three-year-old kid has severe brain injuries.
On Sunday, July 17, 2022, about 20:14, a resident of Hilltop near Trenance Park in Kwazulu Natal called Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for aid. The caller reported finding a man bleeding heavily from head wounds to the controller on duty. The caller said that he thought the man was driven over by a car when the controller asked for more information about the patient’s medical condition.
Reaction officers were dispatched right away, and when they got there, they saw a man who was covered in blood. In the home’s kitchen, a tiny pool of blood and blood spatter were discovered. When the wounded guy was questioned, he revealed that he had been seeing the mother of his kid when, following a dispute over child support, she repeatedly beat him with a frying pan on his head and torso (picture 2).
When his 32 year old ex-girlfriend was interviewed, she informed Reaction Officers that the man lived nearby & arrived at the home to see his child. He was then informed that the baby was at a relative’s residence. She added that she has a Protection Order against her ex-boyfriend and asked him to leave. He refused and forcefully attempted to have sexual intercourse with her. She then grabbed the frying pan that was hanging on the kitchen wall and assaulted him.
The matter was handed over to the South African Police Service (SAPS) upon their arrival.
