Naked Virginia woman shot in the leg after breaking into a residence and attacking a person with a frying pan: police

On February 26th, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia received a report of a shooting at a home in Austinsville. Upon arrival, they found Paula Michelle Locklear, 35, with a gunshot wound to her leg.

The authorities revealed that Locklear had broken into the house and attacked the homeowner with a frying pan, leading him to shoot her in self-defense.

The victim first heard a noise and went to investigate when he saw an unclothed woman, who was unknown to him, entering his home through the rear door. The woman then began hitting him on the head with a cast iron frying pan.

The homeowner managed to kick her out of his home and lock the door. Locklear then allegedly went to the back porch, turned off the electricity breakers, and beat on the kitchen window, while shouting at the homeowner to leave the house or she would kill him.

The victim then discharged a firearm, shooting Locklear in the leg. The authorities charged her with breaking and entering, assault and battery, and property damage. Locklear is being held without bond until her arraignment in the Carroll County General District Court.

The homeowner is not facing any charges as the Commonwealth Attorney Roger Brooks determined that he acted in self-defense.
