Westlife are set to perform in Wales at the Cardiff Castle

Great news for Westlife fans! The much-loved pop band is back and will be playing a massive headline gig at Cardiff Castle on Wednesday, July 5, as part of the summer lineup that includes big names like Tom Jones, Rag N Bone Man, Bastille, and Example.

This will be their first time performing at the castle, and the event is being organized by DEPOT live.

Pre-sale tickets for the show will be available from Wednesday, March 8, at 10 am for O2 customers, with priority tickets opening up on Thursday, March 9, at 10 am.

General sale tickets will go live on Friday, March 10. Singer-songwriters LYRA and Lucien Moon will be supporting the band at the concert.

But that’s not all. Westlife will also be bringing their Wild Dreams tour to the Motorpoint Arena on December 11 and 12, marking their second visit to the Welsh capital city this year.

Formed in 1998 in Dublin as a five-piece band, Westlife became a foursome in 2004 after Brian McFadden left.

The current lineup includes Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne, who hold the record for being the first band to achieve consecutive number one singles in the UK.

The band has 11 number one albums, 16 number one singles, and has sold over 55 million records. After 14 years of success, the group disbanded in 2012 but reunited six years later in 2018 with a new five-album and tour deal.
