Playhouse Opera: The KZNPO will perform its final concert on October 27 at 7 p.m. It features Israeli conductor Noam Aviel in a performance that includes Pelléas and Mélisande by Gabriel Faure. Maja Bogdanovic, a renowned cellist from Serbia, performs Camille Saint-Sans’ Cello Concerto No. 1, followed by Fauré’s Élégie for Cello and Orchestra. Friends of Music present Razzmatazz featuring Platform Jazz on October 30 at the Jewish Club. There will be ten-person tables available for picnicking. Alliance Francaise: This month’s Film Club film is Les Amours d’Anais, a French romance in which an independent young lady falls in love with the live-in partner of the man with whom she is having an affair. On October 26 at 6 o’clock Free entry.

The KZN Museum in Pietermaritzburg will once again host Night at the Museum: Halloween Edition. Entertaining activities for the whole family, including an interactive scientific display, a dedicated scare tunnel, and, for the first time, a live shark dissection, as well as many others.
