Wanted: three suspected minors assaults a resident during a house robbery at Muldersdrift Neighbourhood

Three suspected minors are wanted by the Muldersdrift Neighbourhood Watch after allegedly assaulting a resident during a home invasion.

The victim was allegedly attacked by a group of minors who reportedly leapt over a wall on Mountainview Drive on the West Rand and were between the ages of 12 and 17.

The incident reportedly took place on July 9, 2022, after midnight, according to the neighbourhood watch.

The statement reads:

“Suspects came over the wall from the neighbours.

A handbag, jump bag and a phone were stolen. The victim was attacked, they hit her on the head with a pipe and arm and back with her garden panga.”

“Thankfully she’s OK, although very traumatized, the attacker was roughly 12 years old.

There were 3 offenders: Estimated ages 12, and other two were late teens”.

“They ran when first detected and then came back and kicked the barricaded door in, also broke lock off the security gate,” the statement read.

Sadly the victim had no early warning systems, according to the Muldersdrift Neighbourhood Watch.
“Hopefully this will change. We thankful that the victim is ok but the trauma this leaves is unacceptable – perpetrated by virtual children”.

“Hopefully SAPS can trace and deal with these youngsters. Trauma support was offered”.
