Victoria Beckham complimented David Beckham for his “perfect tossing” despite the fact that he had a disastrous Pancake Day.
In honor of Shrove Tuesday, the former England, Manchester United, and Real Madrid star once again posted his annual try to flip a pancake, but this year’s attempt was disastrous. Usually skilled at spinning the sweet treat, Beckham, 47, shared his most recent effort on Instagram with the caption, “Told you I Still got it @victoriabeckham #Pancakeday.”
Becks’ ability to control the pan, sadly, seems to be fading. Victoria could be seen watching in the background as her husband performed a flawless first flip before launching the pancake too high and letting it fall on his chest.
The outcome of the greasy pancake resting on Beckham’s nice zip-up jumper was then revealed to the camera, making the footballer look sheepishly amused. Victoria’s reaction was self-explanatory. As she walked away, she struggled to hold her laughter in and placed her hand to her lips. Commenting on the photo, she wrote: “Perfect tossing.”
“Tbf [to be honest] we’re with @victoriabeckham on this one,” wrote Adidas, one of Beckham’s sponsors.
Some of Beckham’s former colleagues also commented. Roberto Carlos, a Madrid legend, posted several laughing emojis and the following statement: “What I was missing was it. Embrace your pal.”
Be cautious with pancakes and Victoria’s faces, haha, wrote former AC Milan coworker Alexandre Pato, while PSG coworker Angel Di Maria just shared a laughing emoji. Rob Lowe, a famous Hollywood thespian, appeared to be having worse luck, as he remarked: “Better than the rest of us!”
After a recent ski vacation with Victoria and the two youngest of their four children, Cruz and Harper, Beckham has recently been spending time with his family. Meanwhile, this weekend marks the start of the MLS season for his Inter Miami side.
Miami’s start to the new season has not been great; in recent matches, the team lost 2-1 to Montreal and then drew 2-2 with Austin. This Sunday, they host Montréal to begin the new campaign.
