Vanilla Ice is recalling Madonna’s proposal from the 1990s for the first time.
Tuesday on the “Just Jenny With Jenny Hutt” podcast, the rapper reminisced about their brief connection, stating, “Man, things were going so crazy and fast.”
“I simply exclaimed, ‘What?! I believed the person was supposed to [bow down],” he continued. What do you imply? Wait a minute. This is too quickly. I’m just starting out, and I’m far too young for this!’”
Robert Matthew Van Winkle, who is 55 years old, stated, “The more I consider it, the crazier it seems.”
After meeting in late 1991, the previous couple dated for eight months.

When Vanilla Ice first met the now-64-year-old Queen of Pop, he did not believe the relationship to be “real” since she was “too old for him.”
“I recall that she returned to the dressing room, said hi, and gave me the sultry eyes, and I was like… “I must be mistaken about that,” stated the singer of “Ice Ice Baby.”
At the time, the rapper felt “way too young” to be engaged.
He described their relationship as “strange,” stating, “I had no idea what was going on…. My entire life is a snow globe that has been disturbed.”
Vanilla Ice said that the 1992 publication of Madonna’s book “Sex” was the reason for the termination of their relationship.
“I found it to be incredibly slutty. “I did not wish to be involved,” he said. “I might have sued her. I did not desire to. I said, “You go your way, I’ll go mine.”
The “Vanilla Ice Project” host, who later in the conversation referred to his ex as a “legend,” has moved on with Laura Giaritta. The couple was married from 1997 to 2016, and they share Dusti, 25, and KeeLee, 23 years of age.
In 2018, Vanilla Ice welcomed his 3-year-old daughter Priscilla with another mother.
The Grammy winner Madonna has been married twice. In 1985, she wed actor Sean Penn, and in 2000, she wed director Guy Ritchie.
The singer of “Like a Virgin,” who was most recently romantically related to model Andrew Darnell, has six children.
Madonna shares her 26-year-old daughter Lourdes and 22-year-old son Rocco with Carlos Leon and Guy Ritchie, respectively. She adopted her 17-year-old son David, her 17-year-old daughter Mercy, and her 10-year-old twin daughters Stella and Estere.
