The university has implemented an “Equality of Recognition” policy to ensure students in both modes have equal rights and opportunities.

Under this policy, students in both in-person and ODeL learning environments follow the same syllabus, take the same exams, are taught by the same educators, receive the same UI diploma, and qualify for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) mobilization.

To increase access to UI’s ODeL programs, the university has announced that the enrollment process for the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre’s 2022/2023 Academic Session will begin on March 13, 2023.

Eligible applicants are encouraged to apply. Candidates can apply for the sixteen ODeL-mode University Programs across five faculties listed in the table.

To qualify for undergraduate courses at the 100 level, applicants must have credit passes in five relevant WAEC/NECO/GCE subjects, and distinctions or upper credits in A’ Levels, NCE, OND, HND, Degrees, in addition to the required O’Level credit passes for 200 level direct entry candidates.

The Bachelor of Nursing Science is exclusively available to Registered Nurses (RN) and Direct Entry candidates.

Priority will be given to candidates who scored at least a 40% aggregate mark in the University POST UTME examination but could not secure admission through the face-to-face mode due to limited capacity.

Candidates in this group must change their study mode on the application portal.

To apply for UI’s ODeL program, candidates should visit the admission portal and enter their JAMB registration number or email address to check their eligibility status.

They should review the admission requirements and select their desired program from the 16 ODeL options if eligible.

Candidates should provide their name and contact information, pay the application fee of N11,000, and upload their credentials.

The university will contact them about their admission status or further actions within a few days.

Candidates are advised to review the admission requirements carefully before paying for the application form, as the admission portal will not accept applications that do not meet the requirements.
