Authorities say a 12-year-old child was accidently shot and killed by his uncle during a hunting trip in Minnesota. Cass County Sheriff’s Office reports in a news release that a 47-year-old man unintentionally shot his nephew as they were hunting squirrels on public land in Moose Lake Township.

Family members identified the youngster as Jeremy Her, according to the authorities, and deputies and medics administered first aid. The youngster was taken to a hospital in the Twin Cities with “life-threatening” injuries. Tuesday, the sheriff’s office confirmed the boy’s death from his injuries. Jeremy Her GoFundMe

The boy’s sister has created a GoFundMe page, stating that “the doctor was unable to save his life because the bullet struck his spinal cord.”

She wrote, “He was 12 years old and had only a few months till he turned 13.” “We pray that he is happy and safe wherever he is, and that he is now with God.”
