Unidentified suspect shoots 30-year-old man shot in front of 9-year-old daughter in NYC bodega

Horrifying scene depicts the moment a brawl broke out in a Manhattan bodega, when a 30-year-old father was shot and died in front of his nine-year-old daughter.

Tykeem Berry, 30, is seen on surveillance footage fighting with the murderer on Thursday just after 4 p.m. at the 144 Deli & Grocery location on 14 Nagel Avenue.

Berry, who was sporting a red puffer jacket, is yelled at by the unnamed suspect, who is wearing a green coat and has one hand in his pocket, before the guy storms off.

The cashiers are attempting to diffuse the situation while Berry seems to continue ranting at the guy behind the door.

Berry turns away from the door and moves toward his daughter, but the suspect rushes in and shoots Berry as the father charges the assailant.

After the suspect walked out the door and Berry turned his back to walk towards his nine-year-old daughter, the gunman rushed back in and fired at the father

The battle, however, is short as Berry quickly falls to the ground, his hand obviously flapping until it finally stops as the shooter escapes.

The murder is the most recent instance of rising violence in the Big Apple, where resignations from the NYPD have increased by 30%.

Berry shoots the shooter, but manages to toss him out of the shop before falling to the ground. After being taken to the hospital, he passed away.

Berry was reportedly taken by ambulance to Harlem Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The event did not do any harm to his daughter.

Authorities are presently searching for the perpetrator and investigating if the victim’s 19 past offenses may have been connected to the shooting.

Ahmad El-Myndcer, the owner of the shop, denounced the shooting and told NBC4 that he, his staff, and customers made an effort to keep Berry’s daughter from seeing her father’s corpse.

El-Myndcer said, “I don’t want the kids to witness her father die.” It could have an impact on her later. She may experience issues. We thus kept her indoors. We gave her Coke and whatever else she requested.

Berry had been a consistent client for 15 years, the storekeeper said, stopping by each morning to pick up his daughter’s lunch before dropping her off at school.

The proprietor of the business denounced the shooting and said that Berry had been a consistent patron for 15 years, purchasing lunch for his daughter each day at the bodega.

The shooting is the most recent in a city plagued by violence, which has increased by over 25% since this time last year.
